Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BlockCypher ("the Portal"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Portal. By accessing or using the Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Portal.
1. Use of BlockCypher
1.1 Eligibility:
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms to use BlockCypher. By accessing or using the Portal, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
1.2 Account Registration:
To access certain features of BlockCypher, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
1.3 Prohibited Activities:
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities in connection with your use of BlockCypher:
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- Uploading or transmitting any harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
- Interfering with the operation or security of BlockCypher.
- Engaging in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the functionality of BlockCypher.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
2.1 Ownership:
BlockCypher and its associated content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws.
2.2 Limited License:
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use BlockCypher for its intended purpose. This license does not permit you to modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on BlockCypher.
2.3 Feedback:
If you provide us with any feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding BlockCypher, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into BlockCypher without any obligation to compensate you.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties
BlockCypher is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that BlockCypher will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Your use of BlockCypher is at your own risk.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of BlockCypher, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of BlockCypher or any violation of these Terms.
6. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on BlockCypher or by other means of communication. Your continued use of BlockCypher after the changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to BlockCypher at any time and for any reason without prior notice or liability.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be exclusively resolved in the courts of Ontario.
